Overview
A synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide (BPC-157 Full Sequence, Stable Gastric Pentadecapeptide) derived from a protein found in human gastric juice. Proposed mechanism involves promoting angiogenesis via upregulation of the VEGFR2 pathway, with additional effects on the nitric oxide system and dopaminergic, serotonergic, and adrenergic signaling. Extensive preclinical animal data shows accelerated healing of tendon, ligament, muscle, bone, and gut tissue, but no completed human clinical trials exist.
