Overview

A 'cytomax' supplement consisting of short peptides extracted from calf thyroid tissue, part of Professor Vladimir Khavinson's Russian bioregulator line, marketed for thyroid support. The proposed mechanism is that tissue-specific peptides bind to DNA gene promoters in thyroid cells to nudge gene expression toward a younger, healthier pattern, normalizing thyroid cell metabolism and output of T3, T4, and calcitonin. This mechanism is Khavinson's hypothesis, supported mostly by his own group, not independently established. No defined peptide sequence on label, no FDA approval, and no independent peer-reviewed clinical trials.
