Overview

Raptin is a peptide hormone produced by the hypothalamus during sleep, cleaved from reticulocalbin-2 (RCN2). It binds to GRM3 receptors in the hypothalamus and stomach neurons, inhibiting appetite and gastric emptying, and signaling satiety.
