Overview
Cyclosporin A (CsA) is a cyclic undecapeptide that binds to cyclophilin A. The CsA-cyclophilin complex inhibits calcineurin, preventing dephosphorylation of NFAT and blocking T-cell activation and cytokine production (IL-2, IL-4, IFN-γ, TNF-α).
